Welcome to the all new “Make your ideas Art”
If you like art or design or photography or all of the above you will feel right at home.
When I first visit a web site my train of thought goes like this:
- What the site is about?
- How often has new content?
- Is their content readable and easy to locate?
While i will let you decide on the third point, the purpose of today’s editorial is to answer the first two questions.
What this site is about?
The content of this site is mostly aimed for creatives like designers, photographers, artists but also people interested in visual arts, fine arts and communication. Our content is divided in three categories: Art, Design, Photography so you can easily choose and read only what interests you.
What is covered?
In each category you will be finding inspirations, tips, tutorials, techniques and learning resources either in text format or as video round-ups from experts of the fields, nicely gathered and organized for your convenience. In the “+” menu you can find the topics of the above three categories organized by their type:
- Inspiration: Articles mostly with images for inspiration
- Tutorials: Tutorials, tips and techniques in text and images format
- Video Tutorials: Tutorials and round-ups in video format
- Reviews: Book, software and equipment reviews
- Articles: Other articles and rumblings that doesn’t fit to the above categories
so you can easily find similar articles.
How often you have new content?
Daily, one to three times per day except Sundays. All articles (excluding editorial) are posted either at 11.00, 15.00 or 19.00, or at a combination if there is more than one. Well editorial like this one, is the author’s rumblings as such will be posted whenever the need arises and at absolutely random times.
How many people write all this stuff?
The main regular author and editor of this blog is Spyros Thalassinos. For the curious, Spyros was a former C/C++ developer back in the dinosaur ages. He deeply fallen in love with visual arts though. So initially self learning, and then much later on attending a graphic design school, he set out to become a Designer!
Spyros has the Associate’s degree in Graphic Arts and Design, and has been working both independently (as a freelance designer) and in design studios since 2007.
If you are curious or want to hire him you can check out his portfolio in Behance and drop him an e-mail!
When he is not busy designing or referring to himself in the 3rd person, you can find him reading books and watching video tutorials to expand his knowledge. He also loves to blog about his favourite topics: art, design and photography.
You can see all the social networks he is active and connect with him here.
If you like the blog concept and would like to contribute with articles, feel free to contact me through the form in the Write for us page.
