The Amazing BW Photography of Vassilis Tangoulis

Hello folks! In today’s photography inspirations we’ll enjoy the work of the award winning photographer Vassilis Tangoulis.
Vassilis was born in 1969. His profession is physicist working as a Lecturer in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki-Greece. By profession he is involved in Atomic Force Microscopy which is a way to capture/photograph molecules so making the transition to Long exposure photography was inevitable. The last three years captures with his lens Greek landscapes using the long exposure techniques.

I like to capture moments that look not ordinary. Long exposures, infrared photography. I believe that looking the world through a filter could be a reason for re-evaluation..

Sander-Koot→Dreamy-landscapes

Stunning landscape photography

Landscape photography is intended to show different spaces within the world, sometimes vast and unending, but other times microscopic. Photographs typically capture the presence of nature and are often free of man-made obstructions. Landscape photographers often attempt to document the space as well as convey an appreciation of the scenery.

Many landscape photographs show little or no human activity and are created in the pursuit of a pure, unsullied depiction of nature devoid of human influence, instead featuring subjects such as strongly defined landforms, weather, and ambient light. As with most forms of art, the definition of a landscape photograph is broad, and now includes urban settings, industrial areas, and nature photography. Waterfalls, coastlines, seascapes and mountains are especially popular in classic landscape photography. Though most photographs are inspired by traditional landscape painting, the technique can be applied to other subjects; most places and things can be photographed as a landscape, a kitchen, a lamp, a wall, or even the human body.

Notable landscape photographers include Ansel AdamsGalen Rowell and Edward Weston.

Let’s see our today’s selection which come to us by the photographers Jakub Polomski, Jon Reid, Nandakumar Narasimhan, Navid Baraty, Patrick Galibert and Sander Koot!

Contemporary Poster Design #1

Hello and welcome to our contemporary poster design series!

Today we have a stunning selection of 22 posters coming to us from the designers Anthony Neil Dart & Áron Jancsó! So lets enjoy their works!

Did you know?

Posters, in the form of placards and posted bills, have been used since earliest times, primarily for advertising and announcements. Purely textual posters have a long history: they advertised the plays of Shakespeare and made citizens aware of government proclamations for centuries. However, the great revolution in posters was the development of printing techniques that allowed for cheap mass production and printing, including notably the technique lithography which was invented in 1796 by the German Alois Senefelder. The invention of lithography was soon followed by chromolithography, which allowed for mass editions of posters illustrated in vibrant colours to be printed.

Hope you enjoyed this article and I am looking forward in hearing your opinion on the selected designs! See you next time!

Matteo Alvazzi Delfrate→Street-Photography

The amazing street photography of Matteo Alvazzi Delfrate

Today we have with us 17 amazing street photographs taken by Matteo Alvazzi Delfrate! You can see more of his works in his Behance Portfolio.

“I started photography in 2009, but I wish I could have started it when I was 10… everything would have been way different I guess.

I work best in the streets, walking around and freezing candid moments, which from that moment will follow me and my life for ever. I also started doing some studio shooting, but I’m still in the process of learning how to master artificial light and how not to blush in front of gorgeous women :)

My camera of choice is a small Leica M6, mounting a 35mm F2 Leica (Dentone) lens. I usually use Kodak Tri-X, but I still have to try many more types of film. In studio I use a Nikon D700

I think my studio shots will be influenced from my street photography. For me street photography is the best way to learn to compose in the friction of a moment, to actually see what’s there, to understand it, to use it and to bend it. ”
