Creativity at its best – 3 Great Ways to Make a Fashion Statement

Fashion is usually geared at making a statement the bolder and louder it is, the more likely it is to catch the attention of everyone who comes across it. This is not to say that the response is always positive as individual preferences play a big role in the choice of design. This is why there is such variety in the market today, whether it be artistic tattoos, skinny jeans, leather coats or body piercings, there is a lot that constitutes style.

For those who love tattoos and piercings, here are some tips to help enhance the look:

1. Get a tattoo that will change your look

One thing that a tattoo will do is alter the overall look! For many who are not ready for this aftermath, especially if the tattoo is visible, they may find it a struggle. Whether it be questions from curious on lookers or family, there is need to anticipate more attention and self awareness when it comes to having these features.

They are a fun way for self expression, allowing the individual to make a bold statement of what they appreciate. Many times this is done by an individual who feels there life is too stiff and structured, calling for a makeover. By trying out other dimensions, the desired change can be achieved. For some, the new look may be so freeing, they may opt to go back and have another dimension added to the previous piercing or tattoo.

2. Scrutinize outfits

One of the best ways to truly get the full appreciation of having a tattoo is in the choice of clothes. Sometimes the issue is not so much that there are no clothes to wear, as it is the same clothes are being worn all the time while others never get to see the light ofday! There is need to change the style and begin to put on outfits that bring out the artistic touch that is captured in the piercing and tattoo. The idea is to ensure that the dress code does not downplay the new trendy feature. Going through the wardrobe keenly will reveal some deep, dark and hidden treasures and discovering them will feel like a shopping spree all over again!

3. Find inspiration

In some cases, there is need to just try out a new way of wearing some clothes. Changing the style can actually create a new appreciation for old clothes and transform the overall look significantly. Magazines, the Internet and even girlie chitchat are all ways to find out how best to display some of the new look without straying too far from the comfort zone. It can be as simple as changing the favourite top to a sleeveless one so as to display the tattoo more clearly or opting for a bikini swim suit to show off the new belly button!

When all is said and done, there is only one more thing left to do; hit the stores. This should be the last resort; only being done to add value to what is already there after all, the pointers above have been successfully tried out. When going shopping, carry a friend or two who can help decide what looks best and what should not be given a chance. Focus more on the trendier stores and even those that carry out the actual piercing and tattoo procedures so as to get a feel of what will blend well with the new look, as some of them stock on these outfits too.
